The story of Domenick's Furniture Manufacturer began long before the company was founded. It began when Domenick Pennisi left Palermo, Italy, with little more than a briefcase and a dream. Before leaving home, his father entrusted him with $1,000—not to support himself, but to deliver to a customer in America. With determination, faith, and an unmatched work ethic, Domenick arrived in Brooklyn, New York, believing that opportunity was earned through hard work.

Those values became the foundation of a family legacy. For decades, Domenick and his family built a respected reputation in the furniture industry through PAMA Furniture, which operated from 1984 until 2012. The company weathered changing markets and economic challenges, but like many manufacturers during the recession, it eventually closed its doors. After nearly three decades in business, Domenick and his wife retired.

For Anthony Pennisi, however, the story was far from over. As the son of Domenick, Anthony grew up in the factory. At just 15 years old, he began sweeping floors, learning every stage of furniture manufacturing firsthand. From sanding and finishing to production, customer service, and operations, he developed an appreciation for quality craftsmanship and the dedication required to build a successful manufacturing business.

When the family business closed in 2012, Anthony and his wife, Kelly, faced one of the most difficult seasons of their lives. With four years of uncertainty ahead, they moved their young family into the basement of Anthony's parents' home. Kelly continued working full-time as a graphic artist, and together they sacrificed, saved, and refused to give up on the dream of one day rebuilding the family business.

Their perseverance laid the groundwork for a new beginning.

In 2012, Anthony founded Domenick's Furniture Manufacturer, naming the company in honor of his father and the legacy that inspired him. The mission was simple: combine generations of craftsmanship with modern manufacturing while treating every customer like family. One of the company's earliest challenges tested that commitment.

After being given only 90 days to vacate a leased manufacturing facility scheduled for demolition, Anthony and his wife Kelly purchased a neglected 22,000-square-foot industrial building that many believed could not be saved. In just ninety days, the building was completely renovated and transformed into a fully functioning manufacturing facility, allowing production to continue with minimal interruption.

What could have ended the business instead became one of its proudest achievements.

Today, Domenick's Furniture Manufacturer serves customers with the same principles that have guided the Pennisi family for generations: honesty, craftsmanship, reliability, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

As we look toward the future, our vision is to continue investing in American manufacturing, strengthen lasting partnerships with our customers, expand our capabilities, and create opportunities for the next generation. While our company continues to evolve, one thing will never change—our belief that exceptional furniture is built by exceptional people who care deeply about their craft.
