The story of Domenick’s Furniture Manufacturer began long before the company was founded. It began when Domenick Pennisi left Palermo, Italy, with little more than a briefcase and a dream. Before leaving, his father entrusted him with $1,000 to deliver to a customer in America—a responsibility that reflected the honesty, determination, and work ethic that would later define his family’s legacy.

For nearly three decades, Domenick and his family built a respected name in the furniture industry through PAMA Furniture, which operated from 1984 until 2012. When the recession and changing markets eventually brought the business to a close, Domenick and his wife retired—but the family’s story in furniture manufacturing was not over.

Domenick’s son, Anthony Pennisi, had grown up in the factory. Starting at just 15 years old sweeping floors, he learned every part of the business—from sanding and finishing to production, customer service, and operations.

After the family business closed, Anthony and his wife, Kelly, faced several difficult years. They moved their young family into the basement of Anthony’s parents’ home while Kelly continued working full-time as a graphic artist. Together, they sacrificed, saved, and remained determined to rebuild.

Anthony founded Domenick’s Furniture Manufacturer, naming it in honor of his father and the legacy that inspired him.

That determination was tested again when the company was given only 90 days to leave a leased facility scheduled for demolition. Anthony and Kelly purchased a neglected 22,000-square-foot industrial building and, in just 90 days, transformed it into a fully functioning manufacturing facility with minimal interruption to production.

What could have ended the business became one of its proudest achievements.

Today, Domenick’s Furniture Manufacturer carries forward generations of craftsmanship, honesty, reliability, and commitment to quality. As we grow, our vision remains rooted in American manufacturing, strong customer partnerships, and creating opportunities for the next generation.

From an immigrant arriving in America with a briefcase and a promise to a family manufacturing company built to last, the Pennisi story is one of faith, perseverance, hard work, and family.
